The Political Legacy of’Abd al-Rahmän al-AwzäCT “The hypocrite talks a lot and acts little, while the believer talks little and acts lot.” This statement of ‘Abd al-Rahmän al-AwzäCT( 88 – 156 A.H.), the great scholar infiqh and sunnah, is descriptive of his biography. This book depicts his life and, more particularly, his political legacy. It portrays a great scholar of the past as a role model for today’s Muslims. Anke Iman Bouzenita, born in Germany in 1969, completed her Ph.D. in Islamic Studies in Germany (University of Bochum) in 2001. Her doctoral thesis is on ‘Abd al-Rahmän al-Awzäfi and his contribution to the siyar. Dr. Iman is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, International Islamic University Malaysia.
