ABOUT THE AUTHOR :-Malik Badrrwas born in Rufa’a, Sudan, in 1932. He obtained his B.A. and OM.A, from the American University of Beirut. He received: his Th.D. from thee University of Leicester, England, in 19611 in recognition of his contributions in his field, he was decorated by the: President of Sudan in April 2003 with the medal of • Shahid Zubair, which is the highest award for academic excellence. He also played a leading role in founding a number of graduate and undergraduate psychology faculties and departments all across the Muslim world, including the Department of Psychology of Imam Mohammad bin Saud University in Riyadh and the Psychology Clinic of the University of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 1971. At present, he is a distinguished professor of psychology in Ahfad University, Sudan, and appointed to the prestigious Ibn Khaldun’s Chair in the Faculty of Revealed Knowledge and Human Science of the International Islamic University in Malaysia. His other works include The Dilemma of Muslim Psychologists, Contemplation: An Islamic Psychospiritual Study, The AIDS Crisis: An Islamic Socio-Cultural Perspective and Sustenance of the Soul: The Cognitive Behavior Therapy of A Ninth Century Physician.
