Comprehension of a matter is the real basis to its continuous commitment. It is more important than sincerity for it is said that sincerity cannot exist without comprehension. In this respect, the well-known Islamic thinker, Shaykh Yusuf al-Qaradawi has written this book as an introduction to Shari ‘ah. It was primarily written for freshmen students of the University of Qatar but its content and expression is such that any serious reader would find interesting and beneficial.
