The Late Emeritus Prof. Tan Sri Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim  recent years, there is increasing interest among businessmen, lawyers, academician and students of law and economics to know about Islamic law and commercial transactions. To understand and appreciate the subject matter of Islamic commercial law, one faces problems because the materials are available only in classical Arabic books; there are very few books written in English dealing with the subject.
“Islamic Law on Commercial Transactions” formulates rule and regulations to the subject
in order to avoid frustration, noncompliance of the parties in business dealings and
formulate financial system which protect the poor and the weak and at the same time
provide reasonable profit to capital suppliers.

This book originates from the thesis of the author. It attempts to highlight the practical

ofriba, the practicality of Islamic banking system and economic viability of profit sharing
scheme. This work is a humble contribution to provide to the students, Islamic law materials for
