TAWHID HUMANITY AND CIVILIZATION

The character of Islamic religious doctrine is constructed  on the basis of tawhid it . Word view declares that Allah is the creator of the whole universe symboliz.es justicc and truth. There will absolute truth other than that which is derived from the divine source. The message given to Pro Muhammad (pbuh) has been declared as superior to all other concepts of religious belief. So. a from the theological concept which signifies monotheistic belief. human beings are required to obse the truth and justice in dealing with others. The religious doctrine which stems from spiritual pract is attempted to train individual Muslims to be honest, punctual, and just. Thus, those who declar accept Islam as their religion are expected to conduct their daily activities on the basis of truth. concept al-uhihiyvah necessitates a person to refer, in performing the duties, to the concept of t contained in the words of God. In view of this, the concept of testimonial witness by expressing ildha illa al-Leib (there is no god but Allah) is to refute any concept of knowledge which is unsuita with the divine truth.

SOHIRIN MOHD SOLIHIN received his Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham. lie worked the Christian-Muslim Relations Unit, Islamic Foundation, Leicester, United Kingdom fro 1986-1993. He also served as a research associate at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, St. C College. Oxford University, from 1994-1995. He has presented and participated in a number seminars and conferences on Islamic thought; contemporary issues of the Muslim Ummah inter-religious dialogues, both at national and international levels. /lc has written books entitled Co and Muslim in Egypt: Study on Harmony and Hostility, published by the Islamic Foundation, 1991 Islam and Politics: Emergence of Reformative Movement in Indonesia. IIUM Research Centre. 2003 Islamic Da ‘evah: Theory and Practice. IIUM Press, 2007. Emergence and Development of Lihera Islam in Indonesia: Critical Evaluation, and Saxvid Quth’s Fi Zildl al-Quriin: Study on Select Theme, Mohammad Natsir: Activism and Intellectualism in Modern Age. At present, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Qur’an and Sunnah Studies. International Islamic University Malaysi MOHD. SHUHAIMI BIN HAM ISHAK (1957-…) received Ph.D (2007), M.A. (2002) in Usul Al-Din and Comparative Religion, and Diploma in Islamic Studies (1998) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He is currently attached to the Department of General Studies, Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences. IIUM. Prior to that, he had several years of wide experience in private sector; in banking, manufacturing. telecommunication and water services industry. He has published a book. Islamic Rationalism: A Critical Evaluation of Harem Nassitionk Thought. and more than ten articles in the international refereed journals. His area of interests is in Islamic Thought, Malay World and Comparative Religion.
