About the Anthology The revival of the Islamic charitable endowment institution of Waqf has become a top priority for all Muslim communities worldwide since it was both a carrier as well as developer of Islamic Civilisation over the centuries.
As the institution of Waqf regains lost ground, we have a duty to increase our knowledge on this important but receded institution. The Awqaf Anthology is the first in a series of collections of researched articles on the subject of Waqf and now complement the refered Awqaf Journal which is published by the Kuwait Awqaf Public Foundation and is an attempt to spread the knowledge of waqf especially in an age of abject poverty, inequality, and injustice and the many challenges that the global Ummah faces today.
