Mohd. Fair-unan is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department Of Quantity Surveying.
Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED). International Islamic University
Malaysia. He joined the academic profession in July 2013 after completed a three-year research
Doctorate programme at the International Islamic University Malaysia. The research entitled
“Development of Life Cycle Cost Strategy and Protocol on Cost Data Input in Malaysia”. He was
recognized with the awards of “Best Student for Doctor of Philosophy (Built Environment)” in the 30th
Conv€x•ation of International Islamic University Malaysia (2014). “Best Paper Award” in the 13th
t2014). and •Special Mention Paper Award” in the 14th (2015) Management in Construction
Re.earchers• Association (MiCRA) Annual and General Meeting, at the Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design. International Islamic University Malaysia. Apart from that. he was awarded Silver winner (2nd place) in the International Research Invention & Innovation Exhibition for 2014
(IRIIE 2014). On research and consultancy. he has led and completed a research project on the
university building maintenance services rates for Daya Bersih. a subsidiary of IIUM Holdings.
Currently. he leads a research project on the identification of cost data inputs in lite cycle cost analysis of road pavement types funded by the Ministry of Education Malaysia. He also has published 14 papers in conference proceedings. 7 articles in indexed and non.indexed journals and 2 patents registered by the Research Management Centre. International Islamic University Malaysia. Mohd Shariffuddin Ibrahim obtained his Diploma from Institute Technology MARA in 1981 and
then furthering his BSc degree to United Kingdom in Mechanical Engineering. He returned to Malaysia
in 1986 and took up an engineer position with an edible oil producing company. In 1989 he moved to a
concrete product producing company and left in 2001 to start his own engineering consultancy firm.
His consultancy services covers design of building services engineering system and executive training
in facility management. In 2005. he took up an Academic Fellow position at Kullliyyah Of Architecture
and Environmental Design. IIUM. His field experiences covers plant maintenance. quality control. cost
control and safely health environment.
