Shahada -A testimony for faith& Its Essential Conditions
For a Muslim, the testimony of faith is the affirmation that there is no god other than Allah and that Prophet Muhammad (É) is His servant and messenger. This testimony is second nature to most Muslims;
yet it is disappointing to note that many of them are not aware of the seven conditions attached to it.
Realizing an urgent need to educate reverts as well as veteran Muslims, the author has detailed the conditions in this book. These in elude: knowledge, certainty, truth, compliance, acceptance, sincerity,and loving and hating for the sake of Allah. Each condition has been explained individually along with supporting evidence from the Qur’an and the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (X). Separate chapters have also been devoted to the meaning, importance, and implications of the testimony of faith.
This is a useful text for all Muslims who wish to remain true to their testimony and ensure that they lead lives as true believers.
